Decisions regarding school closures due to inclement weather are based on information compiled by the Dawson County School System in conjunction with the Dawson County Emergency Services and the Dawson County Sheriff's Department.  The school superintendent will make the most informed decision possible at the earliest possible time.

Dawson County is so diverse that each person should use their best discretion in determining if roads are passable in their area at the school beginning time.  It is an expectation that all will report at the earliest possible time as conditions improve.
